This isn’t a blog about having everything figured out.
It’s a record of our family trying to figure it out.
We’re writing about faith, family, finance, the adventures of traveling as a family, entrepreneurship, parenting, success, failure, and all the ordinary moments in between.
Some of these stories will be about things we got right. Others will be about the things we got very wrong.
We’re writing them down because one day my children will grow up. They’ll make their own decisions. They’ll have their own families. They’ll experience success and failure, joy and disappointment, certainty and doubt.
And when that day comes, we want them to have something more than photographs.
We want them to have our faith, our words, and our heart.
We want them to know what we were thinking when we were their age. What we were afraid of. What we believed. What we got wrong. What we learned. What we prayed for. What we hoped for them.
Most of all, we want them to know that they were loved.
This is our attempt to leave them a little piece of their family’s story.
Maybe someday they’ll read it and find encouragement in our successes.
Maybe they’ll learn from our failures.
And maybe, years from now, they’ll understand that everything we were trying to build was never really about reputation, money, or business.
It was about building a life.
A life of faith.
A life of family.
A life of purpose.
And a life worth passing on.
